The Virginia Unmanned Systems Center at CIT (Center for Innovative Technology) in partnership with the Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security (DHS) launched its Unmanned Systems Best Practices Workshop Series earlier this year and has now successfully reached every region in Virginia. The day long seminars featured Homeland Security leadership, First Responders and Unmanned Systems Industry best practices.
The Center for Innovative Technology is pleased to announce, in accordance with the provisions of Virginia Code § 2.2-2218, that three new Board of Directors members have been appointed to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Investment Authority (IEIA) and to the Board of Directors of the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT).
The Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) extends their congratulations and continued support to Virginia Tech and Old Dominion University for being selected as recipients of The Virginia Research Investment Fund (VRIF) Grant Award of 1.5 million dollars over the next three years for unmanned systems innovation, commercialization and intellectual property (IP) development.
