Nancy Vorona leads CIT's Commercialization Division, whose focus is to drive economic growth in Virginia through research and development excellence.
As Vice President Research Investment, her responsibilities include oversight of the Commonwealth Commercialization Fund (CCF), a multi-million dollar grant program that funds technology-based research and commercialization in higher education and the private sector.
Nancy’s experience includes managing federal and state contracts and grants supporting research and economic development, strategic planning, and international business. Prior to joining CIT, Nancy held international trade positions with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, International Rectifier Corporation (California), and Integrated Display Technology Ltd. (Hong Kong). She received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ.
