Jeanette Townsend
Senior Program Associate
Project management and organizational effectiveness is Jeanette’s passion! She finds it enormously gratifying to be part of an organization that supports solving world problems through investments in the development and commercialization of technology. She gets tremendously excited seeing people work together to reach common goals and is thrilled to be doing just that as a member of CIT's Commercialization Division.
Before joining CIT in 2018, Jeanette managed a consulting practice, providing business development and project management for both nonprofit and for-profit and organizations. Prior to that she spent almost a decade leading the full lifecycle development of mortgage loan delivery software for Freddie Mac.
Jeanette is a certified PMI Project Management Professional with an MBA from Virginia Tech and BS from George Mason University.
Outside the office, Jeanette enjoys time with her husband and three grown sons, time at Lake Holiday, and being outdoors -- running, swimming, biking, or hiking. She serves in multiple volunteer roles, including the National Park Service and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
