  • Connecting UMS Organizations | Through stakeholder engagement, CIT is helping create a unified voice for the UMS industry in the Commonwealth. A unified Virginia is a strong Virginia.
  • UMS Speakers Bureau | Education is a critical and key component to expanding the UMS industry. By deploying capable and informed speakers to address industry trade associations, chamber events, educational opportunities and more, we advance positive drone and other unmanned technology messaging. Additionally, clarifying current regulations and policy while giving real world examples of industry applications and operational efficiencies will encourage users. If you are interested in being a speaker or have connections to organizations where a presentation on the UMS industry would be welcomed, please contact us.
  • CIT to Publish Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Public Safety Created as a shared resource and educational tool for public safety entities that will be available to all other entities throughout Virginia that are interested in embracing the UMS industry.
  • Joint CIT / DPSHS Counter-UAS Workshop and Demonstration | CIT will be coordinating this event that will serve to inform the public safety community about UAS threats, C-UAS technology, and the legal aspects associated with counter drone technologies.
