Prep to Win DOD SBIR Funding, Fairfax, VA

08:30 AM - 01:30 PM

This half-day workshop discusses how the DOD SBIR program works, how to plan your approach, how to plan your technology insertion, and how to use SBIR to secure large sole source contracts. This session will also present DOD proposal resources available from the Virginia PTAP network and the Center for Innovative Technology.

It’s true that the most important element in SBIR applications/proposals is the specific technology, but that, alone, is not sufficient to win funding – especially at the Department of Defense. DoD SBIR is a very crowded and competitive environment with less than 1 in 9 applicants historically winning awards. Come to this session to find out what else must be presented, and fine-tuned, to secure an award. Preparation is the absolute key to success in this game.

This information-packed session could easily fill a whole day, but has been condensed to provide just the most critical components of “planning to win.” Anyone who is serious about investing resources into the pursuit of SBIR/STTR at DoD should plan to be there. This session presented by Mr. John Davis of The SBIR Resource Center, one of the leading SBIR consultants in the country.
