CIT Success Stories

4FrontSecurity

When 4FrontSecurity CEO Chris Parker needed additional capital for business expansion, he submitted his business plan to the CIT GAP Fund. In 2005, CIT committed to a seed stage investment in 4FrontSecurity. Proceeds of the investment helped finalize product development and expand customer acquisition.

Based in Reston, Va., 4FrontSecurity developed a proprietary software application to automate business processes and achieve distributed regulatory compliance that enables client companies to achieve management objectives. Parker launched the company with a group of internationally recognized information security and technology professionals with years of experience in providing global, mission critical business and security solutions.

4FrontSecurity executives and CIT directors worked together to secure the capital necessary for company expansion. In March 2007 Symantec Corporation, a global leader in infrastructure software, acquired 4FrontSecurity and incorporated the technology into the Symantec enterprise security and risk management product line.
