Pete JobsePete Jobse
President

Peter Jobse joined the Center for Innovative Technology in October 2002 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In May 2003, CIT's board of directors selected Mr. Jobse as president of CIT.

Since joining CIT, Mr. Jobse initiated changes to the organization to align staff more closely with the fiscal strategic goals, making it easier for internal team members and external stakeholders to understand how CIT operates, how it measures its performance, and who is responsible for each goal.

As CIT's president, Mr. Jobse works with many diverse communities: university faculty and administration, technology companies and entrepreneurs, industry associations, and officials from federal, state and local governments in fulfilling CIT's mission to accelerate Virginia's next generation of technology and technology companies. CIT's goals are to expand Virginia's technology assets into world-class research hubs and to make Virginia a global leader in the development of entrepreneurial technology ventures.

Mr. Jobse came to CIT with 23 years of technology industry expertise. He has experience in all aspects of business operations including market assessment, strategic direction, product development, sales, merger and acquisition, and operational delivery. Previously, Mr. Jobse was senior vice president of ArcSight, a network security software start-up, where he was responsible for consulting, implementation, education and channel services. Prior to ArcSight, he was chief operating officer of Condor Technology Solutions, a web and e-business solutions provider. Mr. Jobse started his career at Electronic Data Systems, where he worked for 20 years. His most recent position at EDS was vice president and general manager, responsible for providing large-scale integration, software development and outsourcing services for government clients.

Mr. Jobse serves on a number of boards and committees including the Virginia Research and Technology Advisory Commission, the Virginia Institute for Defense and Homeland Security, the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Virginia Space Authority, Virginia's A.L. Philpott Manufacturing Extension Partnership (VPMEP) Board of Trustees and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
