Regions

Virginia is home to a diverse family of regions offering strong foundations in industries and research areas that provide innovation and technologies critical to the state and national economy. The graphic below – and associated regional links – provide a summary of regional industry priorities and niche opportunities. These priorities are key considerations in the development of the Commonwealth Research and Technology  Strategic Roadmap and result from the participation of technology councils, economic developers, industry leaders, and other key resources in every region across the Commonwealth.
