  • Alex Moussavi, CEO and Founder, Matrixx Partners
    Alex Moussavi is the CEO and Founder of Matrixx Partners a sales consultancy. As the lead executive for Matrixx, he works very closely with clients to implement sales growth solutions. Since 2002 business leaders & achievers who are already at the pinnacle of success in their respective fields call upon Alex to be their strategic sales advisor. Alex has had the unique opportunity to model the underlying sales strategies responsible for generating consistent results for some of the world's most successful organizations. He implements these strategies for his clients. Alex is a dynamic public speaker who talks frequently on the topics of sales growth strategies, sales management, and sales force development. Alex is a board member of the Montgomery County Chamber & leads the LeadShare program which has generated over $5 million in revenues for its members. He also leads the DC chapter of UPSA (United Professional Sales Association). Alex grew up in Montreal Canada and graduated from Concordia University with a BA in Economics in 1995. In 1996, he left Canada to pursue the "American Dream" and settled in the Washington, D.C. area. In his spare time he enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Thai Boxing.
  • John Barret, President and Chief Software Architect, Industrial Medium
    When he co-founded Industrial Medium in 2001, John brought with him nearly 15 years experience in software engineering and applications development expertise. He has an extensive background in Java, C, W3C and IETF standards, and has proven track record as a commercial software product development manager and in all phases of the software lifecycle, from specification through delivery and maintenance. At Industrial Medium, John has applied his talents for using technology in innovative ways to solve problems and create cost-effective solutions in developing and refining two different content management systems, Carbide and Expressroom. Prior to the formation of Industrial Medium, John worked as the software architect at worldweb.net (later Starbase) to write an early version of Expressroom, eXpressroom 6. He managed a team of more than 20 software developers, technical writers, quality assurance specialists and product managers. He also managed the Advanced Development Group responsible for seeking out and exploring leading edge technologies and their possible application to the Expressroom product line. Before joining Worldweb, he worked at Attachmate Corporation and The Wollongong Group as a senior software engineer. He was responsible for developing a variety of Internet servers, including SMTP, Telnet, FTP, and NFS servers.  He received his BS in Computer Engineering degree from Carnegie-Mellon in 1988.
