“SBIR-MAX” Workshop -- for Phase I SBIR/STTR Winners

June 22, 2006,
Herndon, VA

Many companies start to plan their Phase II and Phase III strategy too late.  The fact is, you need to think about Phase II and Phase III as soon as (or before) you win the Phase I.  With the challenges of performing the Phase I project, the time you spend to plan your Phase II and Phase III strategy must be well spent.

This workshop shows recent SBIR awardees (from all agencies) and companies with limited Phase II success how to wring the most value out of your Phase I SBIR/STTR project.  Also ideal for successful SBIR firms who want to strengthen their Phase II and Phase III conversion rates.

Workshop includes “Tips” presentations from NIH, DOD, Phase III winner, Prime Contractor, and Third Party Financing reps.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Realizing a High Quality R&D Product--managing your phase I project (Project Management)
  • Planning for a Winning Phase II (applications and audit preparation)
  • Acquiring Phase III funds (marketing and venture capital acquisition).
  • Using a Phase I for sole source positioning
  • Strategic Planning, Strategic Alliances, and Customer Communications
