Peter Jobse joined the Center for Innovative Technology in October 2002 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In May 2003, CIT's Board of Directors selected Pete as President of CIT and in 2006 named him President and CEO. Since joining CIT, Pete has transformed CIT into an advanced technology services organization dedicated to accelerating the next generation of technology and technology companies. Under Pete's leadership, CIT established a seed-stage investment fund that has created over 80 companies and attracted over $100 million in private equity. In addition, he created an advanced technology consulting practice, a translational research and development management practice, and expanded broadband deployment in rural areas of Virginia. In 2013, Pete worked with Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, the General Assembly, the Secretary of Technology, NVTC, and other industry leaders to create MACH37, the Nation's first cyber security accelerator. As CIT's CEO, Pete works with many diverse communities: university faculty and administration, fortune 500 executives, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, industry associations, and officials from federal, state, and local governments in fulfilling CIT's mission. Pete came to CIT with 23 years of technology industry expertise. He has experience in all aspects of business operations including market assessment, strategic planning, product development, sales, merger and acquisition, and operational delivery. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of ArcSight during company initiation and initial product development. ArcSight later sold to Hewlett Packard for $1.5 billion. Prior to ArcSight, Pete was chief operating officer of Condor Technology Solutions, a web and e-business solutions provider. Pete began his career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), where he worked for 20 years. His most recent position at EDS was vice president and general manager, responsible for providing large-scale integration, software development, and outsourcing services for government clients. Pete serves on a number of public and private boards, commissions, and committees.
