Missy Bell
Program Associate/Special Assistant
Missy Bell joined CIT in 2010. She splits her time between the Connect team and serving Governor McDonnell’s administration as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Technology. The majority of her efforts within CIT have been focused in the K-12 arena, conducting best practice research and providing program and logistical support for state and federal agencies seeking to leverage new technology resources.
Prior to CIT, Missy spent five years working in the Virginia Legislature as a legislative aide and campaign manager, and previously taught English in the Czech Republic. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, where she also served as team captain to the UT swim team. In her free time, Missy enjoys photography and travel, having visited and photographed over 30 countries.
