Innovative Transitions 2007: Virginia's 13th Annual SBIR and Federal Funding Conference for Small Technology Firms

Join the Center for Innovative Technology for this educational event on learning the secrets to successful advanced transition. The conference will gather representatives from approximately 200 innovative technology companies and SBIR participants from around the Mid-Atlantic region together with leading players from the Federal government, DoD, prime contractor, major US industry, and investment communities.

- Patent law updates, processes and strategies that affect commercialization
- “Bureaucracy 101 – How the Government Really Works, and How it Affects the Small Business”.
Dec 4 Conference Highlights - Featuring funding program initiatives from multiple agencies:
- Homeland Security, DoD NIST, and NIH providing insights into important funding programs and opportunities for early stage technology research.
- Getting the most out of your SBIR/STTR projects.
- Tips on approaching the Intel community.
- DoD energy initiatives and how small businesses can participate in these efforts.

Dec. 5 Conference Highlights - Featuring discussions and panel presentations to assist with technology transition and collaboration processes necessary for any research to be successful.
