Karl E. Spinnenweber is the Vice President of the Strategic Business Management organization at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Karl is responsible and leads all aspects of the pursuit, capture and proposal development of large, complex, strategic procurements within the $6B North American Public Sector of CSC. Karl has been with CSC and its’ acquisitions Nichols Research Corporation and Advanced Marine Enterprises since graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a degree in Marine Engineering Systems in 1984. Karl has a winning capture track record, strong credentials, a proven ability to foster executive relationships and 23 years of relevant business development and operational experience. He previously founded, built and led a systems engineering and IT directorate within the Navy Business Unit of CSC's Defense Group. He has a 3rd Assistant Engineers' Licence from the USCG to operate Steam and Motor Vessels of Unlimited Horsepower. Karl obtained a Masters of Science degree in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences from George Washington University in 1987. He also earned an advanced business degree from the rigorous Global Executive MBA Program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 2003.
